AVID computer game fans stayed up until the early hours to pick up the hotly anticipated Playstation 3 console.
Keen gamers who had pre-ordered the 拢425 machine waited anxiously at computer shops including Gamestation, Great Bolton Street, Blackburn, to get their hands on it first.
At Gamestation they were allowed into the store at 11.30pm to get out from the cold but had to wait until midnight when the Sony-produced machine officially went on sale.
