Car Washes Held For Victims Of Monday's Crash

(CBS13) SACRAMENTO It may have started as a simple car wash but it turned into much more today in South Land Park. It was a labor of love for the friends of four people killed this week in a crash.The cause? Allegedly, a drunk driverThe weather was sunny and the mood at this fundraiser upbeat even though all this was for something very dark and sad. Last Monday, at this very spot, Brizchelle Rice, her 19-month-old son Kamall Osby, her sister Brittanya, and Shanice Carter, a friend, were all killed when a suspected drunk driver slammed into their car head-on."No one expects for their kids lives to be taken during the middle of a day on a street as peaceful as this," said Gerald Pliman, victim's friend.A second car wash was going on simultaneously just around the corner at john Cabrillo Elementary, where Brizchelle Rice's other young son attends preschool.
